Alison Waterhouse - Educational Psychotherapist

Due to Covid-19 and the challenges it has caused for many of our children and young people, I have developed an outside alternative to using my therapy room. This has been been hugely successful with the young people I have been working with. It is Walking and Talking.

We put on out coats and welly boots and walk across fields and through woodlands talking about the many difficult challenges they are facing. If we are lucky we see deer, buzzards, rabbit and foxes as we walk. The sessions are private - very few people walk the footpaths we do. Children and young people are enjoying the use of physical activity whilst talking and find that the rhythm of walking supports their talking and sharing of their challenges. If this is something that you feel your child or young person could find useful in these challenging times please email me.
